What started as a simple idea between two lifelong friends became a dream that lasted for decades: create a place where sports fans could gather, share great food and drinks, and cheer on their favorite teams together. Two young men from Colorado imagined the perfect neighborhood sports bar — a place built on friendship, community, and a love of the game.

Life, however, had its own timeline. Over the years came careers, marriages, kids, responsibilities, and all the realities that come with growing up. Still, the dream never faded.

Then tragedy struck. One of those friends lost his life far too young to a rare autoimmune disease, leaving behind family, friends, and the dream they had always shared.

Years later, that dream finally became reality. In 2023, Origins Sports Bar opened its doors — not only as a sports bar, but as a tribute to friendship, perseverance, and the people who stay with us long after they’re gone. Though my friend never got to see it come to life, I know he’s here in spirit every day, cheering alongside me.

And that’s the Origins story.
